Reef Octopus Classic BH-2000 Hang-on Protein Skimmer

The BH-1000 and BH-2000 is a unique design hang-on back protein skimmer in that the pump is mounted external and under the actual skimmer body and thus increasing the space in the skimmer for air and water reaction. Also by placing the pump outside the skimmer and the aquarium there is no heat exchanged to the water by the pump motor. This design also allows for easy removal of the pump for cleaning and maintenance.

The Reef Octopus skimmers are powered by the Aquatrance 2000 pump and built with high quality acrylic. The Octopus skimmers use metric plumbing parts. The pump has an improved venturi design and pinwheel impeller.
